About

Born to Thrive is built on my conviction that every person is the absolute master of their own destiny, and that as soon as we are conscious enough to be autonomous, we are innately empowered to choose our own paths. By default we are set on the paths drawn by our subconscious minds, which are often littered with undigested emotions, limiting beliefs and traumatic experiences from our childhood. Around age 13 our autonomy begins to develop; we realize that we can change our lives with our choices. Our power of autonomy is fully developed by age 25, at which point our decision making is “matured” as far as it can. That period of adolescence is the ideal time to establish our independence, mourn the injustices of our youth, and exercise our power to choose our path; many of us don’t do these things until much later, and sometimes we never do.

Everyone was, is and will be born to thrive, not survive. My mission is to empower those who feel powerless, captive and weak. The best way to empower is with the truth. Often the truth is painful, but it is the only way to enlightenment and ultimately personal power. The goal of life is to conquer your mind and play with your personal power. In my book, aimed more at women, I unravel fairytale narratives to expose the lies about personal power that have been fed to women for centuries. These lies have stunted women’s maturation and convinced us that we were powerless. Despite the successes of the women’s liberation movement, many women still feel powerless inside. They still feel that the world is against them and that others are responsible for making their lives better. This is a lie I a hope to destroy with my work, and in doing so remind women of their God-given destiny: to thrive

On this blog, I expand on the topics covered in my book to discuss the following:

  • Psychology in pop culture
  • Femininity in an increasingly masculine society
  • Gender expression
  • Mental illness
  • Shadow/parts work and inner healing
  • Romance and relationships
  • Personal growth
